Už víc jak deset let se holandský režisér Leonard Retel Helmrich vrací do vlasti svých rodičů, aby pozoroval a natáčel proměny Indonésie v překotných letech ekonomické a kulturní globalizace. Portál Dafilms nyní uvádí všechny tři filmy jeho slavné dokumentární trilogie (včetně zatím posledního dílu – Position among the Stars). Na pozadí napětí v indonéské společnosti odehrává se před Helmrichovou kamerou život rodiny Shamsudinnových, která v chudinské čtvrti Jakarty prožívá svůj každodenní příběh práce a starostí, vzájemné lásky i nevraživosti. V týdnu od 21.5. navíc můžete první dva filmy trilogie – Oko dne a Shape of the Moon shlédnout zdarma.

DOC ALLIANCE letos do svých řad přivítala šestého partnera FID Marseille a zavedla nový postup při výběru filmů, které budou uvedeny na festivalech Visions du Réel, Planete Doc Film Festival Warsaw, FID Marseille, DOK Leipzig, MFDF Jihlava a CPH:DOX Copenhagen - každá členská země navrhla jednoho filmového kritika a jeden film. Kritici pak na základě šesti navržených filmů nominovali tři snímky, které budou uvedeny na všech šesti festivalech a utkají se o cenu Doc Alliance Award, která bude udělena na konci roku.
