Gerrit Kuge was born on August 8th, 1989 in Böblingen. From 2014 he studied art of the new media with a focus on film at the State University for Design in Karlsruhe under Razvan Radulescu. In May 2019 he graduated with the film The Death of My Mother. In his cinematic works, he deals with fallibility as a central human characteristic. Its protagonists are often confronted with loss and personal responsibility - problems that they find difficult to deal with. His stories often operate on the edge of what is logically understandable, combining aesthetic-associative with realistic-narrative elements to create a dream-like flow of images.
