Born on 11 November 1959 in Moscow.
As well as a filmmaker, Léon is also an actor (for Louis Skorecki, Jean-Claude Biette, Anne Benhaïem, Jean-Charles Fitoussi, Serge Bozon, Bertrand Bonello, Rita Azevedo Gomes, Pascale Bodet, Mathieu Amalric), translator (Tsvetaïeva, Blok, the Vaïner Brothers) and critic (Trafic, Les Cahiers du cinéma).
