The film depicts the experiences of men and women from the Middle East who reside in Germany. The film casts new light on German habits and daily life through showing events through the fresh perspective of a pair of Middle Eastern newcomers: a grandfather and a grandmother. The documentary creates intercultural comparison through contrasting potentially awkward encounters for the two immigrants. The pair see the differences to their previous life in the quotidian settings of the supermarket, the people on the street with their piercings and tattoos, and the habits of German residence particularly those who kiss in public. The film is unpretentious, funny, and aided by the colloquial structure of the travel diary sketched by Jessica Neubauer and the Vamos Animation collective.
