One morning, Om El Khir’s husband left on a boat for Europe and disappeared. She has since received no word on whether he is dead or alive. But Om El Khir does not give up. Alone with her three children, she bravely continues with day-to-day life in Tunis changed forever by his absence, all while she searches for the truth. Alongside other women (mainly the mothers of other disappeared people), Om El Khir fights so that their men aren’t forgotten and rallies for justice. This film tells two stories: the one of Om’s private life and that of her fight alongside the other women, two aspects of her life that have become interdependent.
